Corian® Colour Portfolio Suitcases marked with this sticker contain 89% reused samples that have been returned and renewed, supporting a circular economy and reducing waste to landfill.

Did you return surface material samples to CDUK last year?

Through Vita Nova, our takeback and repurposing solution, we collect samples that are no longer required. Whether current colours, discontinued lines or damaged, we ensure they are diverted from landfill.

In 2024, a total of 32,000 samples were returned to CDUK across our full material portfolio. That’s the equivalent of 5 tonnes of waste kept out of landfill.

What happened to the returned samples?

  • Samples of discontinued colours are stored for use in new products, such as aggregates.
  • Current range samples are carefully sorted, refurbished and brought back to their original condition.

For example, the 6x4cm samples of Corian® Solid Surface were repurposed into new sample boxes, like the one shown here and key supplier partner Corian® Design helped make this possible.
