CDUK are delighted to announce a Platinum partnership with Huddersfield pioneering children’s hospice Forget Me Not, pledging to raise £10,000 over 12 months.
Patroned by HRH Princess Beatrice, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice delivers outstanding care to children with life-shortening conditions and their families across West Yorkshire, with care services through pregnancy, childhood and loss. The care is 24/7, delivered not only in the hospice building but also in families’ own homes.
To support the partnership, CDUK has set up a dedicated Charity and Good Causes Team, who will be responsible for organising events and sponsored activities to support Forget Me Not, while encouraging activities to raise money and volunteering work. As part of the company’s commitment, all the employees have been granted one additional day of “volunteering leave” at a charity of their choice.
Throughout summer, the Charity and Good Causes Team will be involved in gardening activities at the Forget Me Not Hospice to help them create a haven for their patients, as well as several fundraising activities including Leeds 10K, Colour Run, a Dragon Boat Race and Fell Running the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
Charlie Roebuck, corporate partnerships fundraiser at Forget Me Not, says:
“We’re delighted and excited to welcome CDUK as a Platinum Partner of our charity. Our Platinum Partners are a prestigious group, all high-level businesses committed to raising the funds that will make a huge difference to the children and families we support. We have ambitious plans for what our partners can achieve and we know that CDUK will make an invaluable contribution to that mission.”
Andy Noble, Managing Director at CDUK, says:
“Setting up our Charity and Good Causes team was an important step of our commitment to support Yorkshire’s local communities. The partnership with Forget Me Not aims to be first of a long series, as we have pledged to nominate a Company Charity, which will also be local and selected by our colleagues across the company, that we will support for a minimum of 2 years.”
