CDUK has supported Material Source Studio on their recent refresh of the This is No Longer Speculative exhibition. The installation at the studio in Manchester embodies Material Source’s aim to champion the solutions being developed to better the materiality of our built environment and highlight circular alternatives.

The re-configuration of the Manchester Studio’s This Is No Longer Speculative installation now incorporates displays created from 100% recycled surface materials and re-painted plinths, which altogether transform the space with as low an impact as possible. Polygood® was selected and we supplied Material Source with two of the most striking aesthetics, Coral Reef and Potpourri which are two colours in the Bespoke Selection. Both these colours can be backlit so their inclusion in the exhibition adds variety as the aesthetic changes when in a solid state and when lit up.

During the process of designing the exhibition, the Material Source team visited the Vita Nova workshop to learn more about how Vita Nova contributes to a circular economy and aims to encourage our community of design, fabrication, and supply partners to act sustainably and return unwanted end-of-life surface materials.

To see the exhibition for yourself, visit Material Source Studio Manchester at 1 Federation Street, Manchester, M4 4BF, email info@cdukltd.co.uk to arrange a meeting and an introduction to installations and our pod space within the studio.
